The Cruelest Month.
Is February.
Short of daylight
With long promises in
warmish glints of Spring.
Blunted by Winter.
Glimmer of dawns
yet darker nights than before.
Do not bloom to soon into sharp, frost-fed death.
Wait for this longest of short months to end.
